How to Play
After each guess, a hint card will appear. It shows the differences between the guessed station and the target station.
The card’s colour theme and icons will change depending on how close the guess is to the target, as follows:

Number of Transfers indicates the minimum number of times you must switch trains to reach the target. This hint measures physical transfers rather than whether you stay on the same line, meaning that switching between different branches of the same line still counts as a transfer.
Station Distance represents the shortest station count between the 2 points. This count excludes the guessed station but includes the target station.
These hints are calculated completely separately. Thereore, the routes used to calculate both hints will not always be the same.
To ensure the smoothest gameplay experience, stations which share the same name are combined into transfers. Under appropriate circumstances, for stations that allow out-of-system transfers like via walking, a concatenated dual-station name will be used and treated as a single station.
Most transit networks in the game have been redesigned to use a standardised design for easy reference. Dashed lines indicate future lines currently under construction; these are excluded from gameplay for now until they officially open.
For complex networks like New York City, where a single line can feature multiple service patterns, express routes, and overlapping branches, additional hints will be provided to relieve the burden of blindly guessing.
